The WFMU Listener Meetup Group was started by Jersey City, NJ radio station WFMU in an attempt to bring together fans of good music and good radio for some good old-fashioned social interaction and extra-curricular fun. Join in to participate in exciting, enlightening, and debaucherous adventures in the metro NYC area. Most events will revolve around independent music, intellectual endeavors, and weirdo/offbeat culture. (Soon we hope to conquer the world with WFMU listener meetups everywhere!)

This group is for people like me, whose spirits are lifted after going out and hearing good music and sharing time with like minded individuals. I started this group to find other music lovers in NJ. Most of the groups that I was searching for were in NYC. I wanted to highlight the people and places that play the kind of music you have to dig deep for.
